Does anyone else go insane when they know a song melody, but don't know the artist or song name?

...I'm not even talking about once knowing, and then forgetting. Just hearing and not knowing anything about it, except you think its great.
I heard Dave1 spin some great french house/electro-ish track a couple of weeks ago, and now I can't find it on the internets. Having a vague sense of the melody and an even vaguer sense of the lyrics is beginning to consume me. |

i just remember it was a semi-choppy, french-touch sounding track with some chick on the chorus singing shit like "i want your love, got to have your love, i need your love" or some gushy shit like that.

so here's the hilarious/weird/zen part...
after obsessing about this track for the last hour or two, i started thining about how the beat also sounds like some of starpoint's shit from that 80s synth funk era.
So i started browsing YouTube for obscure cuts out of that era and my link hopping brought me out of the blue to this track by Siedah Garrett "Do You Want It Right Now."
Turns out, this is the exact hook ive had stuck in my head for the last two weeks. But it didnt sound exactly as i remember it, so i figured there was a remix/cover floating around.
Sure enough Armand Van Helden gave it his own treatment last year, which explains why Dave1 was spinning it in his set. My obsession is over.
and just for shits and giggles, here's another choice starpoint cut.
