I am really liking Geist's record.

Not so much the instrumentals, though.

'Ruthless City' is very nice.

Omni (anyone), can you recommend any other bands  similar to Geist and Junior Boys?

Alright, i'm trying Herculese And Love Affair again.

Just a couple mins. into the first track  and i'm already having the same thoughts  I did  on the last two trys I gave it.

Ok, 'Iris' is pretty cool.

I just don't like the male vocals. 

Jesus Tittfyfucking Christ, all three Lindstrom records are so god damn looooong.

It's gonna be a while before I sit down and give this a good listen.

I'm still digging this Kleerup album. Its pretty much appealing to me no matter what my mood is.

Also, Banger, if you want some more junior boys-esque shit, The LK album is KINDA like that. It's like the daytime version Junior Boys.

Glass Candy has more of a late 70s disco feel, but there's some of the same stuff going on, and Apparat's Walls has a glitchier/dirtier sound, but i always think of the JBs when i listen to it.

Oddly enough, despite not having a sound I consider terribly original, I can't really think of anyone who directly compares to the Junior Boys. Hot Chip, maybe?

Yeah, HC are somewhat similar, although I do find them annoying from time to time.

I am not a fan of their last record.

Some other electonic goodies i've been listening to:

-Santogold - I love the remix to 'You'll Find A Way' from Switch & Sinden

-The remix tribute to GoodBooks isn't that great, but the Teenagers 'remix of 'The Illness' is one of my favorite tracks of this year.

 -I do not like Cystal Castles at all.

Same goes for Does It Offend You, Yeah?

-I  need to give Quiet Village a few more listens, same for Air France.

-Cut Copy is pretty cool, but man is it overrated.

 'Strangers In The Wind' is a very catchy tune.

 -I also need to give the new Black Devil Disco Club a few mores spins.

 -Moscow Olympics: Not really electronic, but they do use some synths. The guitars and drums give off  a genuine 80's feel (which I love). This is one of my fav. records of the year, btw.

Does It Offend You Yeah is god awful save for 2 or 3 tracks.

Crystal Castles will probably be forgotten in 5 years, but I do like the album. Same goes for Cut Copy.

I feel the exact same way about Air France...i lost that in the great hdd death of june 2008.

I'm intrigued by Moscow Olympics. Tell me more.
