so I went to go see the Happening tonight and the movie gets five minute in. It's cheesy as hell but pretty damn creepy and then the screen goes blank. And the theater's dark but the audio's still running. And people start freaking the fuck out and yelling and these girls start running down the stairs and trip over themselves and start screaming. 

 

Apparently there was a fire in one of the theaters and when there's a fire, the screens shut off. All of them. Every screen in the theater. But the audio keeps going? and no one turns on the lights? I think I need to call 311 on this theater. Also, apparently none of the managers showed up for work today, so none of the ushers knew what to do. No one came into the theater to tell anyone what was going on. And there was no PA announcement by the fire department about evacuation. So all of the concession stand people just kept doing their jobs like there weren't 40 billion people in the lobby asking them what the fuck was going on.

 

Very weird.  

Woah.

 

Yeah,  i've heard mostly bad things about this movie, but i'm still kinda interested. 

The server for the cashes at work crashed at some point before the store opened.

 

Anyway, shit's real bad.

An almost identical thing happened to me years ago when I went to see austin powers.... maybe theaters are now well equipped for fire alarms.
