A possession or 2 after the over under did you see him wave off the pick from KG and then orchestrate a thorough schooling on Vujacic by taking him to the hole. He's also played great defense on Kobe Bryant, even after his reputation of being a crappy perimeter defender. Ray has expanded his game so much in losing his shot and gaining it back. I'm biased but part of me thinks he should get the mvp over Pierce.

To be fair, on that last drive, Vujacic barely moved. He just let Allen blow by him and no help defense came. Weak effort by the Lakers.

I agree. It was a total collapse on the Lakers part. But I also think that collapse had something to do with Allen playing a full 48 minutes and holding the "greatest player in basketball" to 17 points.

But... didn't Pierce guard him for a while?

Pierce took Kobe for a decent portion of the 4th, i think....he only had a foul or two and said he could play aggressive on him..Celts defense was stiflling in the 2nd half, but made it so much worse that Laker role players missed open shots...Vujacic played matador defense on Ray to prevent fouling him, i think, and no one picked him up when he took it to the hoop...Lakers all done...ha ha Kobe...

Man the Lakers are playing terribly.
