Damn. I could live without Facebook, but restricting net access would make work intolerable at most jobs...

...A recent survey by IT services provider Telindus found that a whopping 39 percent of 18-to-24-year-olds would consider leaving their jobs if a Facebook ban was imposed, reports vnunet.com. Another 21 percent said they’d feel “annoyed” by such a ban. I assume Telindus did the survey before the latest dismal jobs report.

 

This is one of those items guaranteed to make me feel like a crone, because my initial reaction is “Grow up, punks.” In fact, that’s still my reaction, even after mulling it over...

They did this at work EVEN on our computers designated for breaks... fucking weak

we had banned facebook at work but then it was removed because it was considered a work related site.

they use facebook to setup events and stuff.     

My job blocked all those types of sites including video sites, gaming sites, and ones considered "sexual and violent." Not like I would look at porn at work but hey I like to keep my options open lol. If they block all internet access, then I would prob. quit. I was pissed when they blocked MySpace though. haha.

If you work in anything that deals with online content, Facebook is work related.
