I would really like to watch a documentary on MJ by Spike Lee. Even the Kobe one interests me and I'm a bit of a Kobe-hater.

 Spike Lee announced plans to film a documentary on basketball icon Michael Jordan earlier this week.

While promoting his upcoming flick Miracle at St. Anna at the Cannes Film Festival, Lee revealed he is set to shoot a feature length documentary about Jordan.

According to Variety reports, the National Basketball Association will provide financing for the project, which is being produced by Lee's 40 Acres & a Mule Filmworks. Lee told the Cannes crowd he hopes to bring Jordan and the film to next years festival.

As SOHH previously reported, Lee's cameras also recently followed Kobe Brown for an ESPN films documentary project. That footage is expected to air on ABC or ESPN sometime next year.
