Sorry Mike, we got another NBA thread for ya.
So, Chicago got the number one after only a 1.7% chance. Will they go for Rose or Beasley? I think Gordon/Rose would be a sick backcourt but they don't need him that badly because of Hughs and Hinrich. But then again they don't need Beasley that much with Deng, Gooden and Tyrus Thomas. Looks like someone is gonna be traded. |

I think they'll go Rose and try their best to ditch Gordon or Hinrich.

Thanks for the upgrade Daba.
I'm disappointed the Knicks got 6th pick. They have so many more options if they got even the 4th or 5th. I think The Clippers got screwed harder though. But whatever, I'm just glad first pick didn't go to a team that performed the most intentional tanking in recent memory, like Miami.
Call me crazy but if the Knicks can't grab Mayo or Bayless, they should hit up Donte Greene. He's the next Amare with an outside jumper. Him and D'antoni would be a match made in heaven. Or maybe in a perfect world they could weasel away a 12th or 13 pick and snatch him up then while getting Westbrook with the 6th. But that would probably have to entail parting with David Lee's glorious contract. |

Some mock draft I saw had the Knicks getting some Euro player. Maybe cause of D'Antoni?

I don't really know anything bout Danilo Gallinari except that he's a small forward from Italy and that he's the top Euro prospect. I think europe has been over-mined and the players left are only good in comparison to the other european players. I'm sure Gallinari will have a career in the NBA, but I don't think he should be a 6th pick, at least not for the Knicks.
The Knicks already have Zach Randolph (even though he doesn't play a lick of defense, we're stuck with his giant contract), David Lee (whose contract is the best deal in basketball) and Renaldo Balkman (who's a little short on skills but huge on hustle, like David Lee.) They don't need another small forward, they need either a PF or a PG. |

The Knicks should just blow up the team aside from David Lee and Balkman.

Hahaha. That's awesome.
The Knicks do need to be blown up but that unto itself is a huge project. No one is stupid enough (except maybe memphis :P) to pick up the contracts of overpaid underachievers like Marbury, Curry and Randolph. They're not going to be able to get rid of them and keep David Lee, who is the exact opposite of those aforementioned wastes of money.
The good news is that in the absence of Marbury, Jamal Crawford and Nate Robinson have raised their stock considerably, so maybe we could get something for them. Regardless, I don't see how the Knicks will be successful in the near future. |

I love the Knicks, but I think it's almost a good thing they didn't get a high draft pick.
They probably would have fucked it up. |
