I didn't know this was so controversial.  I actually like the old logo better I think. I'm sure Starbucks was really trying to sell more coffee by changing the logo to a sexy mermaid.  Come on, the new mermaid logo isn't even THAT hot! =P

A Christian group based in San Diego found grounds for outrage over the new retro-style logo for Starbucks Coffee.

The Resistance says the new image "has a naked woman on it with her legs spread like a prostitute," Mark Dice, founder of the group, said in a news release. "Need I say more? It's extremely poor taste, and the company might as well call themselves Slutbucks."

I know that Starbucks has been having some tough times of late, but this logo change I think will only hurt them. It's ugly and the green was better.

The 'new' logo is a throwback to their original brandmark.The only difference is the font.

As far as Christian groups go... they  complain about everything.

 

Its a goddam mutated mermaid... it doesnt have a vag the way people do.

 

..from a designers standpoint though... yeah it needs some green. 

I say keep the new one to continue pissing off christians.

 

 

Three points.

 

#1:  I'd hit it.

 

#2:  I've never met a prostitute who could do that with her legs, but if I ever did, I prolly couldn't afford her.

 

#3:  Slutbucks would be a GREAT name for a Starbucks branded strip club... especially in cities like Cinci, where strip clubs aren't allowed to sell alcohol.
