I sorta got tricked into doing a photo shoot tomorrow. Never done one before. Any advice? Just shooting portraits of one female sneaker designer.

There are many variables involved, but these are things that I find to be true every time. If you choose to shoot outdoors, a reflector and a friendly assistant will be very helpful. I always have music on. It is relaxing. In my experience, it is easier to give direction if you have a clear idea of what you want to shoot. Have fun!!! : ) |

Look at pictures you like and think about what it is that appeals to you in each one -- pose, expression, lighting, background, colours, etc. Even just having thought about what you like helps you come up with more ideas and direction while you're shooting.

Thanks kids. Shoot went pretty well. Nice and easy and informal. Showed my art director and he said I got at least a few solid options for the page. Go photography!
