Here in NYC, Tegan and Sara @ Terminal 5 was pretty cool (http://noahm.com/2008/10/07/tegan-sara-terminal-5-nyc/) Worlwide, Neil Young and The Hives were both really cool to shoot (Neil Young because it's Neil Young, and The Hives because they're crazy) |

Its a tossup between Summerjam and Qtip album release party. Summerjam was a compilation of every hot rapper in one venue and everything from set to crowd was bigger than life. Qtip, besides being one of my favorite artists, lp release was on election day. The energy in Santos Playhouse was electric. That was definitely a night I didn't want to see end. I can still here Q screaming when we saw McCain concedes on the big screen. It didn't hurt that Kid Cudi performed my favorite song that not either(us photogs could relate singles called Day and Night)

Oh, I can't really choose. Maybe Crystal Castles, Jenny Lewis, Amanda Palmer. There's always something amazing about shooting a band you love.

This is an easy question. Hands down, without a doubt, the Kaiju Big Battel with Peelander Z at the Yard. That was so fun my head nearly exploded. What's not to love about feel good, Japanese, costumed punk rock, and grown adults in furry mutant costumes wrestling in a cage? And there were tacos.

Second choice would have to be 88Boadrum on the Williamsburg Waterfront with Gang Gang Dance and 88 drummers. All the suckers were at APW that day, but this was a really amazing show.

And third would be the Awesome Color party at Knitting Factory, with Kocho Bisexual (amazing!), Vickie and Knyfe Hyts. Something about it had the atmosphere like a giant house party.

I have a feeling I'm going to "answer" this question twenty times, but for a start shooting Gogol Bordello at Detour was fantastically fun. I'd wanted to shoot them for years but always ended up going out of town when they got here or something equally irritating. I had crazy bruises the next day and my feet hurt for ages -- wonderful.

Immediately I'm horrified that I forgot about TI (and Kanye, and Rihanna). I have my TI ringtone as my alarm clock every morning, for God's sake...
I really didn't know much about TI except that girlies love him until I went to the show and on the bus TV news I read that he was #1 (and then the bus got in a little crash and I smacked up my camera-holding wrist -- ouch) but it ended up being one of the most fun nights, ever. It was definitely the friendliest audience to be around, too, which makes a huge difference to the shooting experience.

Gogol Bordello at Irving Plaza: http://www.skapunkphotos.com/gallery/concert/Gogol-Bordello-Irving-Plaza-NYC
No other band has come close to the craziness as a Gogol show. |

Oh, I should of said that to hyperlink on the fourms, you need to highlight the text you want hyperlinked and then click the chainlink icon on the formatting bar. Then put in the full url including "http://www." when the pop-up window appears.

[I promise I'll stop with the colours now.]
For full-on, overwhelming, crazy-kids-in-fancy-dress-on-ecstacy, first-time-seeing-Soulwax, Crystal-Castles-shooting-challenge, random-strangers-hugging-me-and-letting-me-borrow-their-3D-gasses glee the HARD Haunted Mansion was really brilliant:
