They're the ones that got away — the records that, for some reason, slipped through the cracks while other albums got the hype, the praise, the buzz. For this feature, we dove deep into the eMusic vaults, unearthing records we felt deserved a bigger spotlight, a broader support. And all this week on eMusic, we'll be showcasing those records. I don't think this is restricted to albums from 2009. That fine Butterglory album, for example, came out in 1996. Overall, it's a pretty solid list, I think.

Some great stuff on that list. In particular Mazarin, Scrawl, and Butterglory. Those bands seems to all have a few overlooked albums (like We're Already There, He's Drunk, and Rat Tat Tat respectively). Plus, how did I not know there was a band called the Close Lobsters? I'm checking them out pronto.
