My friend was basically saying it was the best hip hop album he's heard this year. I guess I should get it.

At first you look and see it's 20+ songs deep, but the beats are good for a post-2000 Wu album and you'd think Rae's flow would get boring after a while, but it holds up pretty well. A lot of Ghost appearances which always help.
I'm not saying I don't like BP3, but I'd def. give the edge to Rae's new joint. |

Came here to have a look at what's up, and man I agree with this assessment. Took me about six or seven tracks to find something worth listening to on BP3, meanwhile Rae is speaking to me at minute 2. I know I'm a wu apologist, but even for people who can't love anything past wu forever this has to be a return to form or they've lost the ability to love.

Yeah man, the beats on this one are solid from top to bottom. Im really diggin this, its giving me high school flashbacks to when I was marking up bathroom stalls with the W.
I haven't heard BP3 so I cant really make a comparison, but this new Rae is everything I needed it to be. |
