I'm just too, too serious. I mean, how effective is this song? It's trashy 80s rock that borrows a line from one of the best choruses ever written? It's fucking brilliant.

Don't know if Banger is trolling, but it's "Be My Baby," and that's the best part of the song.
Also, I'm pretty sure that jj song doesn't count as a "guilty pleasure," it's just "pretty good."

hahahaha Not trolling, but I swear I thought she was saying "feed my little baby" all this time.
It still stinks. |

word to Cheap Trick. I've always liked this song ever since I saw this movie on HBO one afternoon that took place in the late 70s, early 80s with Matt Dillon and it was about these rebel youths who were mad their rec center was being closed, so they locked their parents in a school then all got sent to juve.
It was a pretty crappy movie but the song still rocks. |

Again, I don't think you actually have to feel bad about liking "First of the Month."

You know, with most of the pop music that I like (Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry), I would have no problem defending why it's "good" in an argument, but not this. This is inane, and banal, and heavy handed and mindless, but I like it anyway. The lyrics are magnificently stupid, Miley is shrill as fuck, and the filter sweep at the beginning of the chorus is so goofy that it makes me laugh. |
