Thanks for the post, Dave! I'm pretty excited for a free listen to WAP, since my mp3 budget has been recently slashed.

I still don't have the Grizzly Bear album even though Warp has an ad for the album on Prefix. I listened to the stream last night. I likes!

 

I really dig that Phoenix album kwaping, let me know what you think

I just finished listening to it. While it was background music, nothing offended or irritated me, which is a very good sign. It has a killer combo of consistency and variety - very strange and obviously hard to achieve, but when a band gets it, it's a killer combo. There are definitely a few more good singles left in this album.  I'm going to pick it up as soon as I can.

 

I'm starting in on the Grizzly Bear album now. So far, it's okay, but the first song is a little too attention-grabbing for me right now. It might be good to actively listen to, but maybe not so much as background music while at work. I do like the singles from this album though, so I have high hopes for the rest of it.

I'm obviously a huge fan of the Grizzly Bear album, and that Phoenix one is pretty great too. Big week this week, with the BMSR record too.

I just grabbed that grizzly bear earlier this week, havent given it full attention yet. Maybe tonight.

 

As far as that new BMSR album, Born on a day the Sun Didnt Rise, is one of my favourite tracks this year.

How bout the Dirty Projectors record? Any y'alls heard that one? Because it's pretty fantastic.

..No,  I wanted to sample it before buying but I missed the leak. 

Im seeing them on Tuesday though, so hopefully it's a good show.

Thats on the tour with TVOTR right? That show should kill. I've never seen TVOTR with a great opener. Once with Subtle (who were OK) and the Dirtbombs (who were better).

Listening to BMSR right now, good stuff.

Well, I decided to risk marital strife and purchase the Phoenix album. After having it on repeat all day at work, I can say that whatever gruff my wife gives me will be well worth it. This album is really, really great. I like every song on it.

'Foreground' is starting to become my fave track on new Grizz Bear.
