Heartbreaker -- the album so good that I still like Ryan Adams nine years later.
Is everything okay, daba? Do you need a hug?

I noticed all the albums I listed I found around my Junior/Senior year of college. Today I think will be a Pinback S/T day.
I'm okay. Just bummed about a girl. |

For me, yeah. As far as hiphop albums go, anyway. The only annomoly(s) on that disc is Good Times Roll pt 2... maybe final frontier.
The rest of the album definitely has a blues theme. FHH may not have a completely depressing beat but the lyrics gripe about the depressing state of hip hop.... And Work + the bonus track just kind of closes the whole thing off sadly and sweetly. |

I'll just state some obvious picks and go with Nick Drake's Five Leaves Left (esp. "River Man") and Elliott Smith's self-titled + Either/Or era.
