my first rock concert- equally lame as sugar ray was three doors down and jesus after that a slew of other horrible bands (P.O.D, linkin park, default, the calling, fuel), however i did work at a house of blues so i got free tickets to all those others.  i think the first good band i saw was the deftones (fuck you they're awesome). 

i've quit going to concerts pretty much since the last time i went over a year ago to a flaming lips show i was arrested for public urination.

Unofficially it was the Guess Who (Wide Mouth Mason opened) at the Corel Centre (now Scotiabank Place) June 7, 2000; I was 11.

Officially it was the Shins (Brunettes opened) April 19, 2005 at Spectrum in Montreal. We took the midnight bus back to Ottawa and went to school the next day. When I graduated and we had the whole commencement where they said 'student's favourite high school memory was...' I chose sleeping through math the day after seeing the Shins. It was the first time people laughed during the ceremony.

after a quick search on 3 doors down, daba's lameness is only highlighted more. 3 doors down didnt put out an album until 2000, which means:

a. Daba saw 3 Doors Down as a college senior or older

b. Daba didnt see a show until he was a  college senior or older

I think Raffi was my first but I don't remember it.
