Adele: The Grammy-winning British singer returns with her sophomore album, 21, on Feb. 22. Featuring collaborations with producers and songwriters as diverse as Rick Rubin and Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic), 21 unites elements of soul, pop and blues with poignant, powerful ballads. Hear the young singer’s latest effort here, two weeks before its release: www.npr.org/2011/02/06/133496838/first-listen-adele-21

PJ Harvey: The British singer muses on the wartime history of her home country in Let England Shake, her eighth studio album, out Feb. 15. Harvey took to a 19th-century church to record the tracks – in the works for two years – with longtime collaborators John Parish, Mick Harvey and producer Flood. Hear how she reinvents herself yet again, at NPR Music:www.npr.org/2011/02/06/133495228/first-listen-pj-harvey-let-england-shake
