Dexter Season 5 Trailer.
I've never seen this show. Worth watching?

It can be pretty enjoyable, but I think I'm reserving judgement until the show ends. The first season was very good, but since then, it's been like, "Will anyone discover he's a serial killer? Yes, one person, who threatens to tell on him, and then he kills them." End season. I just hope they do a season where he ends up in jail or something.

Unrelated, but I started watching the Sopranos this summer and was wondering if anyone has any fond memories. Most of my dreams involve guns, these days. |

I watched about one season of the Sopranos and thought it was pretty sweet. I think it started to fall off by the end or so I remember hearing.
Is Dexter kinda like a tv versino of 'American Psycho?' |

No way, I started watching the Sopranos too. I never had HBO as a kid, and my parents wouldn't let me watch it, and I've finally gotten around to it. I'm into the third season.
Dexter is just okay. It's pretty much like Ally McBeal with murders though, at this point. It's a workplace drama with a quirky protagonist who can be pretty annoying. |

I've only heard good things about Dexter, but there are a few shows I want to get into (The Wire, Six Feet Under, Mad Men) before I give it a shot.
I actually just finished the third season...keep an eye on that Jackie Jr. kid. |

Yeah, I've only got four epis left. He's a douche.
But seriously, drop everything you're doing and watch the Wire. Best show ever. It makes everything else you'll watch seem like small potatoes.
That said, Breaking Bad is close.
Also, Dexter is only great if you're 19 and think it's edgy to like a show about a murderer. Everyone I know that loves that show is like, "Isn't it great we're appreciating culture that is more profound than CSI?" It can be good, but mostly it's just resolutely okay. |

Confession: I'm 19. No offense taken, though--I see where you're coming from, as I'm pretty sure that's exactly why all my roommates obsessed over the show this past year. And, yeah, Dexter seems like one of those shows that people like more for its purported sophistication/intelligence than for anything actually on screen. But, then again, I've never seen it.
Breaking Bad I watched the first season of and somehow missed the second, third, and...fourth? Has there been a fourth?
I'm thinking I'm going to take a short Sopranos break, as these days I pepper most of my conversations w/ references to my Stugatz/peoples' tendences to break balls. |

Didn't mean offense, and holy shit, you're like half M. Burr's age.
Breaking Bad just finished its third season.
Yeah, and I've been saying cooze for women all the time now. |

dexter is just the werst... for a show about a serial killer it has become way too much of a rom com.
