I dug this trailer. Woody Harrelson acting nutty and the kid co-star seem to make a good team...

Release Date: October 9, 2009

Shortly after finishing the filming of Zombieland, Woody Harrelson had an altercation with a TMZ photographer at New York City's La Guardia Airport. His defense was that he was still in character and thought the cameraman was a zombie.

"You're like a giant cockblocking robot, like developed in a secret fucking government lab."

That is gold.

Apparently that kid is only going to be in movies that end with "land." He was in Adventureland earlier this year.

New trailer:

Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) has made a habit of running from what scares him. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) doesnt have fears. If he did, hed kick their ever-living ass. In a world overrun by zombies, these two are perfectly evolved survivors. But now, theyre about to stare down the most terrifying prospect of all: each other.

#1 at the box office with $25 million in sales.

Thanks in part to a killer trailer and strong word-of-mouth, Zombieland was alive and kicking at the box office, scaring up $25 million for the top spot, according to early estimates from Hollywood.com Box Office. The Sony Pictures release marks the best debut of star Woody Harrelson’s career, and very well could kick off the umpteenth revival of the undead at your local cineplex. With its potent mix of big laughs and scares, the zombie comedy (or zomcom, as has quickly become the shorthand for the film in the blogosphere) looks to make a tidy killing in an October surprisingly devoid of juicy R-rated fun; a solid “A-” Cinemascore rating doesn’t hurt either. More good news for Sony Pictures on its stellar run in the second half of 2009: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs continues to be the surprise sleeper of the fall, dropping just 33 percent in

theSchoenrock and I saw this this weekend. It was very good. Exactly what I want in a zombie movie--lots of killing, Woody Harrelson, and many, many funnies.

Damn. Maybe I'll watch it this weekend.

Talk of a sequel already:

...

"We would love it, and everyone involved creatively wants to do another one," Paul Wernick, one of the screenwriters, told MTV News before the film's release. "Woody came up to us after the final cut of the last scene and gave us a hug and said, 'I've never wanted to do a sequel in the previous movies I've done until this one.' "

In addition to Harrelson, Wernick and co-screenwriter Rhett Reese said the returning core crew would include Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin and first-time director Ruben Fleischer. If and when another film gets the green light, the writers have more than enough material with which to work.

"It has lived in our heads for four-and-a-half years," Wernick said. "We developed it
