Stephen Norrington (Blade) had been attached to direct for quite some time, but left the project just last year. Now Relativity Media has regrouped, and this week they’ve announced that Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) will be taking over the job.

I think most will agree that Relativity has traded up, and somehow I doubt that many tears were shed over the departure of Norrington. On the other hand, 28 Weeks Later was very well-received,
