If online-event-listing years went like dog years, then the Prefix Free Summer Shows guide would be turning twenty-one this year. Which means that we not only get to start buying ridiculously overpriced beer at the Central Park Summerstage shows (finally!), but we also have reached adulthood (sorta). It's the same listing you've come to know and love, only better: Besides the general listing of music events, you can now search for shows by venue. Plus, the newly launched Prefix NYC Events page allows you to cross-reference free shows with not-so-free shows, so you'll always have a reason to go out this summer. Be sure to check back frequently, because events are added throughout the summer.
