The M-80 Project

A 1979 two-day music festival in Minneapolis featured Devo, the Fleshtones and other new wave acolytes, and this film has the black-and-white footage.
Directions: Death Cab for Cutie

Directions serves as your cinematic companion to Death Cab for Cutie's Plans, with a music video for each of the album's eleven tracks. The night also features the first installment of a documentary series One Week, which follows the National on tour.
High and Dry: Where the Desert Meets Rock 'n' Roll

Borderline: The Heavenly States

In 2005, Bay Area band the Heavenly States became the first band in thirty-five years to play in Libya. This film tells the tale, and features a Q&A session with the band.
Amazing Grace: Jeff Buckley

Jeff Buckley's life, music and legacy are explored in this feature documentary, which wraps up the film portion of the Noise Pop festival.

Noise Pop Comedy Nights with Killing my Lobster

They host their own "hilo film festival" and provide San Francisco with fine sketch comedy, monthly cabarets, and other dramatic treats. They'll join forces with Noise Pop to provide two nights of comic relief to the musical happenings.
Indie Night School

Straight from New York City, Indie Night School provides resources for independent artists and those in the surrounding biz. The group is scheduled to host four panels over two days for your musical education. The panels scheduled for April 1 are "Getting Booked in San Francisco and Nationwide" and "Start the Presses: Getting Your Music Reviewed"; for April 2, "Alternative Ways to Get Your Band Noticed" and "Building a Brand out of your Band: How to Make a Living Through Music" with more than music sales and concerts.

If scoring random schwag at the shows doesn't satiate your shopping needs, head to Club Six for clothing, jewelry and other accessories from local designers. Audiophiles can plunder vinyl at local college KUSF's Rock 'n' Swap record sale. Deejays will bolster the proceedings with a musical backdrop.
