The Hives ready 'Black and White'

Although no release date has been set, the Hives are currently in Oxford, Mississippi working with Dennis Herring on their next record The Black and White Album. The band has decided to record the album all over the world and they're getting more outside help with the album. Normally, I'd find this to be good news, but considering how crappy the song with Timbaland turned out I'm not exactly dying to hear the fellas work with Pharrell.
"This new album has been recorded all over the world because we thought it was time to have other people involved besides ourselves and our closest friends," frontman Howlin' Pelle Almvquist says.

The Hives have also worked with Pharrell Williams in Miami, Jacknife Lee in London and in Sweden with Bob Hund member Tomas Oberg.

"At times it has felt like we are prisoners to our own creativity and that it is taking a long time," Almvquist says. "At this time we have a lot of songs. In the past we only had what was on each album. We ask you to bear with us as we take the time to wrestle this onto an album."
