It was no shabby cover, in my opinion. Like someone as commented elsewhere, would people react this badly if it was told to them that this was the voice of an young unknown indie artist?

She sure does seem to take on sacred cow artists with distinctive voices for her covers. Seems like she's trying to stir up a lot of debate.

I'd much rather hear Scarlet do decent, provocative covers like this than follow Steven Seagal, Minnie Driver and Kevin Bacon's lead by coming up with an outlet for worthless original music. She's got a fine, distinctive voice. I also dig that this version tones down the original's strings 'n rock band pomp. We get to hear the song as a song.

I found that too, narfish. It was actually the first time i really heard the song, lyrics wise...

The girl cannot sing. This is how one knows what music really means to a person. If she really had any balls and music really meant something to her, she would have made sure Jeff Buckley's version got on that soundtrack. The money they got could have gone to Jeff's charity
